Thank you for your entry. Your competitor number and sound check time are given on the Documentation Form enclosed. (Not on website - in post only!)

The sound check, scrutineering, and signing on locations are different on Saturday and Sunday. Please see below for full details.

You MUST report to the sound check at the time given on the Documentation Form. If you are more than ten minutes early or late, the Environmental Scrutineer will refuse to perform the sound check, and you will need to contact the Entries Secretary for a new time. We have operated this system in the past, and found it was very successful in reducing queues at scrutineering. If the time you have been given is not suitable, you must ring the Entries Secretary on 01482-876400, and she will issue you with a new time. If you need to change your time very close to the event, she can be contacted on 07929-050485.

The Environmental Scrutineer will need to sign your Documentation Form, to show that you arrived on time, and to indicate that you passed the sound check. Please make sure that you have it ready. You will be issued with your competition numbers at the sound check. Once you have passed the sound check, please proceed to scrutineering, making sure that your competition numbers have been fixed on before you arrive.

The Scrutineer will also need to sign your Documentation Form, as well as see your MOT certificate where appropriate. He will also need to see both helmets and sets of overalls, so please have these ready.

After passing scrutineering, move to signing on. You must sign on straight after scrutineering, and will need to take competition licences, including entrant's licence if applicable, club membership cards or championship registration cards and the Documentation sheet with you when you sign on. If only one of the crew is present at signing-on, you will be given your full pack except your time cards. These will only be given once the other crew member has signed on.

You will be issued with a Rally Pack containing road book, rally plates, time cards, etc., as soon as you have successfully signed on.

The official notice board will be in the signing on office. Please make sure you read the notices.

Slicks Tyres will be in attendance on the event selling tyres.

Saturday Scrutineering

Saturday sound test and scrutineering is taking place at Sargent Electrical Services Ltd on Tokenspire Industrial Estate just outside Beverley. This is on the A1174 road between Beverley and Hull, on map 107 at 055386. Note that the industrial estate is private land, so untaxed rally cars will be able to unload legally. Note that mobile telephones do not work well inside this building, so competitors wishing to contact us there may have more success using 01482-678983.

Sunday Scrutineering

Sunday scrutineering will take place at the event venue. The gates to the venue will be open from 6am. Please refer to the venue plan for details of where it will be located.

Changes to Supplementary Regulations

7Saturday Scrutineering will now be held in Beverley as described above.
14The MSA has appointed Mr C. Gibson to be their Steward
21Maximum Lateness will now be 5 minutes.
28The MSA has now extended the special note at the end of R.2.1 to read: "Until 1.10.2001 it is permitted to use handcut tyres produced and cut by Dunlop to an authorised pattern." We will therefore be allowing these tyres, and any other tyres permitted by the MSA regulations.

Foot & Mouth Disease Precautions

All vehicles entering the venue will have their tyres and wheelarches sprayed with disinfectant. They will then be required to drive over a disinfectant mat. Since the disinfectant will not work on dirty surfaces, it is therefore extremely important that all vehicles entering the venue are clean, particularly under the wheelarches. Any vehicles attempting to enter the site which are dirty will be turned away to find a car wash. This may be difficult early on a Sunday morning, so competitors are strongly advised to ensure vehicles are clean before arrival.

This spraying could cause queues to develop on entry to the venue on the Sunday morning, so we would ask that competitors arrive in plenty of time so that a delay does not cause them problems. Note that rally cars will not be required to unload from trailers, but will need to be sprayed while still loaded.

We would ask that anyone coming from an Infected Area (as defined by DEFRA), or where any of the vehicles brought to the venue have been on farmland, makes particularly sure that their vehicles are clean and disinfected before departure.

The East Riding of Yorkshire is currently in a Provisionally Risk Free area, and therefore we are extremely concerned that we do not bring Foot & Mouth disease into the County. We must therefore stress that all competitors ensure that their vehicles are not likely to bring any infection into the county. The disinfection that we are performing is just another precaution as part of good practice, and should not be the only form of defence.

Further information about Foot & Mouth Disease can be found on the DEFRA website at www.defra.gov.uk or on the helpline (0845 0504141).

Camping

Free camping on the venue is available on the Saturday night. However, in order to allow us to set up the stages undisturbed, competitors will not be allowed access on Saturday until 6pm. Additionally, the gates to the venue will be locked at 9pm and re-open at 6am, so once on the venue you won't be able to get out. The camping area is in the middle of the stage (not our choice!!), so competitors MUST ONLY follow the route shown on the plan to get to the camping area.

Any person found on any other part of the venue, even if on foot, will be refused a start. (S.R. 19.f applies). Note that the Chief Scrutineer and other officials will be present on the airfield during the night and will report back to the Clerk of the Course on any infringements.

The service area toilets should be in place by the Saturday evening, and campers may use them. Note however, that these are about 500m away from the camping area, so you may wish to make other arrangements! There are no other facilites on the venue

Venue Access

Access to the venue is available from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday 7th July, and from 6am on Sunday 8th July. Access is only available via the enclosed passes, which admit one vehicle and occupants. The pass marked 'COMPETITOR' is for the rally car, the ones marked 'SERVICE CREW' are for other vehicles. Please show these in the windscreen as indicated on the pass. There is free access into and out of the service area during the day for any vehicles with passes.

Service Area

Please note that the service area does not have unlimited space, so please try and be conservative in the amount of space you use. We have over 100 competitors coming to the event, and we have tried to use as much of the venue as possible for stage, so there is a limited space for service. Please try and park neatly and use as little space as is practical.
