1998 Larkspeed League - Round 1

The Sporting Escort Owners Club along with Pendle & District ran their Auto Test at Midland Hill car park Bingley on Sunday 8 March 1998.

Fifty-five entries were received in the standard four classes with only two non starters the remaining Competitors enjoyed twelve tests in dry cold conditions.

The tests were straight forward, but being most competitors first event of the year, many washouts and penalties were received.

One notable first for a Larkspeed League event was a complete engine change between tests for a M.G. Metro. Dedication to one's team seems to know no bounds.

With such a large entry the event ran very smoothly all day, good marshalling and a friendly atmosphere. Many thanks to all concerned, and a fantastic state to our twenty-seventh year.
