Saturday 30 September

Trackrod Rally Yorkshire

Ian Kirk and Dave Lowson ventured into the Yorkshire forests and had a successful day.

Beginning with a run at Olivers Mount in Scarborough, where a spin cost them a little time, they moved on to the meat of the event in the Yorkshire forests. Ian was keen to finish this event, having had a myriad of problems and bad luck in the past. This was to be his first crack at a forest event so it was a real baptism of fire for Ian.

Putting in some class competitive times during the day, a puncture whilst lying third in class cost the pair a lot of time, Ian electing to run to the end of the stage rather than stop to change it.

Ian and Dave were happy to finish an eventual 4th in class and even happier to have broken the non-finishing duck. Watch this space!

Howie.
