Operating from a purpose built 26,000 sq ft factory, Greens carry out the vast majority of work in-house, allowing them to deliver on time and value for money projects to their customers.
Lawrence Green, the third generation managing director of the Hull-based signage company, was a regular competitor on Historic rallies in the early 2000’s with his Ford Escort Mk1, and he continues to support rallying through the business.
Greens printed all of the stage signage for the inaugural East Yorkshire closed road rally onto durable recyclable products, meaning that most of the signage will be reused for the 2023 event, and any damaged signs can be recycled, helping us to reduce the carbon footprint for the Rally.
The team at Greens have made great strides towards making their business environmentally friendly. Starting by changing their sign manufacturing process, the company now offers fully recyclable products to all customers for all types of signage.
They have also changed how they power their building, reducing the carbon footprint of the business with the installation of a solar farm on the roof of their Hull premises, capable of drawing 88Kw of energy direct from the sun. Even on a typical Yorkshire day the factory is powered directly from solar panels, with the added benefit of giving back green energy to the grid on a weekend. In addition Greens have changed their fleet of vehicles over to electric, so that local deliveries are now made in electric vehicles charged up from their own solar panels.

Special stage Rise will be the third of four tests for the 140 crews competing on the 2023 Reed Group East Riding Stages Rally. Held over the weekend of the 25th & 26th February, the event will feature two loops of four stages, with a visit to service between. A ceremonial start for all competitors and a prize giving for the top three finishers will take place in the new fanzone in Beverley Marketplace, while the spectator area will once again be at Burton Constable Hall.
