Beverley & District Motor Club is delighted to announce that the East Riding Stages Rally will return on 21–22 February 2026 as the opening round of the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship.
Following the announcement of the new seven-round calendar, Beverley & District Motor Club is proud to continue its partnership with the BTRDA-run championship, which attracts some of the best asphalt crews from across the UK and Ireland. The event will once again bring national-level rallying right into the heart of Beverley, with its central rally base, ceremonial start and finish in Saturday Market, and the closed road special stages set across the fast and flowing lanes of East Yorkshire.

For 2026, the rally will feature an exciting new twist - four special stages run in the dark on Saturday evening. These additional 18 stage miles through the Yorkshire Wolds will provide a spectacular challenge for competitors and a unique experience for fans, before a full day of competition follows on Sunday.
The East Riding Stages has quickly become one of the most anticipated events on the calendar, known for its friendly welcome, efficient organisation, and strong local support. The 2025 rally drew a record entry and a competitive Protyre Asphalt field, with James Williams and Ross Whittock leading the registered championship crews home after a determined drive in tricky conditions.

BDMC’s Event Publicity Officer, Cat Lund, said: “We’re really proud to once again open the Protyre Asphalt Rally Championship here in East Yorkshire. The championship brings an incredible mix of talent to our roads, and it’s fantastic to see how much the community embraces the event each year. Beverley comes alive on rally weekend – from the buzz in Saturday Market to the volunteers out on the stages, it’s a brilliant showcase of what motorsport can bring to an area when everyone works together."
The East Riding Stages Rally is not only a major sporting event but also a significant boost for local tourism and hospitality, drawing thousands of visitors to Beverley and the surrounding villages.
“The new evening stages will make next year’s rally extra special - it’ll be a real highlight to see crews tackling the Wolds by night." she added. "Our team is already working hard behind the scenes, and we’re grateful for the continued support of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, local sponsors, residents, and the many marshals and volunteers who make it all possible.”
The club continues to work closely with Carbon Positive Motorsport to make the event as sustainable as possible, mitigating the emissions generated by competing and official vehicles through accredited UK-based rewilding projects.
