When the East Riding Stages Rally returns to Beverley on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, Bishop Burton College will once again host the event’s Service Area, forming a key part of rally operations across the weekend.
While spectators gather in the town centre and on the stages, the Service Area is where teams regroup between competitive sections. It is the working base of the rally, and choosing the right venue is critical to delivering a smooth and professional event.
The service area is an important part of the rally weekend, and Bishop Burton College is a strong local venue with the space, access and facilities required to support a national closed road rally, all within easy reach of Beverley.

The campus offers excellent access for competing crews and service vehicles, alongside the room and layout needed to operate safely and efficiently. Having suitable facilities on site for scrutineering is a significant advantage, allowing essential vehicle checks to take place in a practical and controlled environment before competition begins.
Just as importantly, working with Bishop Burton College provides the opportunity to involve students directly in the event. Students will assist with scrutineering and operational support, gaining valuable hands on experience at a live national motorsport event, connecting education with real world experience.

As East Yorkshire’s leading specialist land-based college, Bishop Burton has served
the region since 1954, offering high-quality further and higher education with a
practical, career-focused edge. The campus features outstanding facilities, from
equine arenas and commercial farming units to modern study spaces and student
accommodation, creating a dynamic environment for students and visitors alike.
"Hosting the East Riding Stages Rally here feels like a natural extension of our
community commitment, connecting our students, staff and local residents with an
event that celebrates precision, performance and passion." said Lauren Fenwick, Marketing Campaigns Manager at the College. “We are absolutely thrilled that Bishop Burton College is hosting this year’s car rally. It’s a fantastic event that brings together enthusiasts, families and local businesses, and we’re incredibly proud to play a part in something that means so much to the community.
"We are passionate about working in partnership with other local organisations and businesses, and events like this truly showcase what can be achieved when the community comes together. Our campus provides a stunning and versatile setting for large-scale events, with excellent facilities, beautiful grounds and ample space, making it the perfect venue for an occasion of this calibre. We’re delighted to welcome everyone on site and look forward to an unforgettable day.”

By continuing to base the Service Area at Bishop Burton College, the rally reinforces its commitment to working with local organisations and businesses. Each February, the event brings competitors, support crews and visitors into Beverley and the surrounding area, supporting local hospitality, retail and service providers. Keeping key operational elements within the local community helps ensure the benefits of the rally are felt across the region.
Clerk of the Course Matthew Atkinson added: “Bishop Burton College is a fantastic venue for our Service Area and an important partner for the rally. Their facilities are excellent, and it is particularly rewarding to involve students directly in the event. It gives them practical experience in a live motorsport environment and helps showcase the range of careers connected to our sport.
For the students, the rally highlights many of the qualities the College cultivates, teamwork, technical understanding, quick thinking and community engagement. Whatever career the students are pursuing, they benefit from real-world connections to events like ours."
