Well-loved Beverley pub, the Royal Standard, will sponsor the ceremonial start of this year’s East Riding Stages Rally. The pub will create a welcoming atmosphere for our special VIP guests and partners as the rally returns to the town centre, offering a traditional Yorkshire welcome at the heart of one of the town’s biggest weekends of the year.

The Royal Standard has long been part of Beverley’s social scene, known for its welcoming atmosphere. The pub's perfect location next to the ceremonial start inspired the collaboration with the rally. As part of the partnership, the pub will provide hospitality for rally guests and partners as the official ceremonial start venue.
The rally start will take place on Saturday 21 February at North Bar Within, where competitors will line up before being flagged away in front of spectators and supporters. From the historic gateway, crews will head straight to the first competitive stage, creating one of the most atmospheric moments of the weekend as the rally gets underway in the heart of the town.

As darkness falls, the rally will move onto Beverley Westwood, where spectators will be able to watch rally cars racing at night, with glowing brake discs and headlights cutting through the darkness. The stage, just a short walk from the ceremonial start, offers a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of rallying up close before crews head out into the Wolds for further stages. Competition will continue across Saturday evening and throughout Sunday 22 February, attracting competitors and spectators from across the UK.
Reflecting the rally’s people-first and responsible approach, hospitality at the Royal Standard will include a range of soft and zero alcohol drinks, helping to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
The East Riding Stages Rally depends on support from local businesses to help make the event possible, and partnerships like this play an important part in bringing the weekend to life. It is another example of how local organisations can get involved and help shape an event that sits right at the heart of Beverley.
Across the weekend, competitors, teams and spectators will travel to the area from across the UK, creating a busy and welcoming atmosphere throughout the town. Working with local venues such as the Royal Standard helps keep the rally closely connected to the community that hosts it.
Cat Lund, Event Publicity Officer for East Riding Stages Rally, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the Royal Standard, and I’m sure they’ll give our guests a very warm welcome. Partnerships like this really matter to us because the rally depends on local support, and it’s great to see businesses in the town getting involved and being part of the weekend. The team at East Riding Stages Rally would like to thank the Royal Standard for their support and we are all looking forward to another great weekend of rallying in Beverley."
