For one weekend only, a national motorsport event will take place in the centre of Beverley. On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, the town will host the 5th edition of the East Riding Stages Rally.
The February event is the largest closed road rally in the UK, bringing competitors, support crews and visitors into Beverley for a busy and vibrant weekend.

As darkness falls on Saturday evening, competitors from across the UK will line up for the ceremonial rally start at North Bar Within. 160 cars will be flagged away from the historic gateway to drive straight to the first competitive stage. They will be racing over Beverley Westwood twice, before heading out to the Wolds for two further stages.
One of the highlights of the rally, the Westwood Superspecial Stage is just a short walk from the ceremonial start. Watching rally cars racing at night, with glowing brake discs and headlights cutting through the darkness, offers an exciting spectacle as the rally gets underway.
Following the Westwood Superspecial stage, the rally crews head out into the Wolds to tackle two new stages in the dark, including an 11-mile test to finish off the first leg of the rally. These night time stages on closed rural roads will provide competitors with a challenging start to the race.
On Sunday morning the rally will restart from the popular FanZone in Beverley Saturday Market, where spectators can get close to the cars and meet crews and teams.

The competitors will race over closed roads across the East Riding on Sunday morning before returning to the Westwood for two further races over the Superspecial Stage. Spectators will have another chance to experience fast, close-up rallying without leaving Beverley, making the Westwood the ideal place to enjoy the atmosphere of the rally.
