Beverley and District Motor Club is proud to announce that Marie Curie will be the official charity partner of the 2026 East Riding Stages Rally.
The rally, recognised as England’s largest closed-road rally, returns to Beverley and the surrounding Holderness villages on 21 and 22 February, bringing national-level motorsport into the heart of the community. Alongside the competitive action, this year’s event will help raise vital funds and awareness for Marie Curie’s work supporting people living with terminal illness and their families across the East Riding.

Marie Curie’s Hospice Care at Home service in East Riding provides compassionate, expert hands-on care in the comfort of patients’ own homes. Delivered predominantly overnight, from 10pm to 7am, the service enables people to remain in familiar surroundings while giving families and carers the opportunity to rest. Care is provided by specially trained Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses, offering support with pain and symptom management, personal care, emotional support, and assistance with eating and drinking.
Last year alone, approximately 239 people in East Riding were cared for by the Hospice Care at Home team, who delivered more than 17,000 hours of nursing care. Funds raised at the East Riding Stages Rally will go directly towards supporting this vital local service.
Marie Curie supporters will be collecting during key moments of the weekend. On Saturday evening, volunteers will be based at North Bar Within during the ceremonial start, as competitors are flagged away in front of thousands of spectators. On Sunday morning, collections will take place in Beverley Market Place and along York Road up towards the Westwood stage. Spectators and residents are warmly encouraged to give generously.

Among those flying the Marie Curie flag on the stages will be local competitor Ian Jarvis, who is a Yorkshire Patron for the charity. Jarvis will compete in a Ford Fiesta Rally2 prepared by Dommy Buckley RSC, with Marie Curie branding carried proudly on his car.
Jarvis first competed in national motorsport more than 50 years ago and was crowned Volvo Norwich Union UK Safe Driver of the Year in 1989. Now returning once again to compete on roads close to his own home, he sees the event as an opportunity to combine his passion for rallying with support for a cause that affects so many families.
“Motorsport is about enjoyment, but it’s also about giving something back,” said Jarvis. “Marie Curie does extraordinary work locally, and it’s a privilege to represent them on an event that means so much to this area. When the rally is quite literally passing your house, and you can use it to raise awareness for such an important charity, that makes it even more special.”
Clerk of the Course Matthew Atkinson added: “The East Riding Stages Rally is rooted in the community. We see first-hand the incredible support the event receives from residents, volunteers and local businesses. Partnering with Marie Curie feels entirely right for us. Their Hospice Care at Home service makes a real difference to families across our region, and we hope our competitors and spectators will get behind the charity and give what they can over the weekend.”
The East Riding Stages Rally will once again bring top-level rally cars to Beverley Westwood, North Bar Within and the roads of Holderness, creating a unique sporting spectacle in the town centre and surrounding villages. As the cars take to the stages, the event will also serve as a reminder that motorsport can play a positive role in supporting the wider community.
Marie Curie representatives and supporters will be present across the weekend with banners and collection points. Donations made during the rally will help ensure that people living with terminal illness in East Riding continue to receive high-quality care, wherever they call home.
Please look out for the collectors, support the volunteers, and give generously if you are able.
